No rains in Archer’s but people still live in floods scare like never before. Long rain season of mid-March to mid-May has not yet started and this worries the locals what will be of the next floods like the one just happened . Ewaso Nyiro North originates from Abaderes forest and Mt. Kenya. Heavy rains there causes normal floods downstream but this time round was startling as it went way above the Archer’s Waso bridge and uplands near settlements. t from Sopa which is far atop the ridges of the Reserve’s landscape near the new Samburu National Reserve airstrip. 600 lodges employees have been affected as they are being sent home until further notices. Security staffs are however patrolling the lodges guarding the wrecked properties.
