REF: Second open letter to Survival International on peaceful disarmament.
Below is a letter entitled ( Please Cancel Police Disarmament Operations and Institute Community-Based Disarmament Process in Northern Kenya ), The letter is processed to be sent to the enlisted receivers. Among them are, the President of Kenya, the Prime Minister, the Internal security minister as well as other concerned authorities. I am hereby sending it to you, to gather more strength and momentum.
My kind request to Survival international is to write a letter of support, directed to the Kenyan authorities and other human rights bodies, to give more push to the letter for purposes of making the concerned authorities to react and take appropriate action for the sake of the Samburu people. Their human rights are continuously violated.
The forthcoming forceful disarmament of the Samburu East is threatening the livelihood and survival of the entire population in Samburu East. The government of Kenya have adapted a very inappropriate and brutal way to partake the disarmament process.
Details are given in the letter below.
I sincerely hope that you see the urgency of these action.
We need your help to ask the government of Kenya to conduct a peaceful synchronized disarmament of all communities with arms.
Yours,
Saidimu Ole Ngais
