Lmaa nite will be on the 30th of October at the Bomas of Kenya from 6pm to dawn. The tickets are available at KBC,Wasanii at Kenya National Theatre and Elmoran communications opposite Jamia Mosque. Dressing code is Maa attires or African attire for non Maa speakers.
Come ready to take milk, meat, and for the daring ones blood!! hahaha and also other drinks and foods. You can also buy some souvenir once there…. And you mite jishindia a beauty or your mr. handsome… ok.. Haven’t I convinced you as much. Nway, lots of fun is guaranteed remember this is one community that still has a rich culture and has a lot to show case!!!!!
Lmaa nite brings together all Kenyans who would like to sample what the maa speaking community have to offer…that is in terms of food, culture, artefacts, entertainment among others. For the Maa it will be a nite to get to know each other and to share some of the challenges that we face as a people.
Let us be united regardless of whether we are from Maasai,Samburu, Njemps, Rendile Land among other areas of this republic. The challenges we face are one and the same and for so long we have been disunited and it is time to put our heads together and chat the way forward in terms of development!!!!
As for the funds raised that nite it will go to fighting hunger and poverty in some of the hardest hit areas as we will identify by the drought and even though the rains are here there is little it will salvage as the livestock the only source of livelihood for these pastoral communities have all died.
In the long run we are hoping to come up with sustainable solutions and development but for now people are dying of hunger and they need to be fed!!!!! Your contribution will go a long way to assist many. It will be done in the most transparent way possible!!!
